Oklahoma Laborfest 2010, a public celebration of Oklahoma's working class culture and labor history, will be held in the Plaza District at NW 16th and Indiana Avenue in Oklahoma City, Saturday, August 28th.

Roxanne will host a writing workshop in the afternoon, discussing the bare bones of memoir writing. Participants will have the opportunity to identify "write-able" moments from their working lives and develop them in writing exercises during the workshop. |

Roxanne is a reader in the closing event, Oklahoma Speaks, which will include dramatic readings of selected historical texts from Oklahoma's labor and civil rights movement as well as musical performances of songs connected to these movements.
